I am a professional photographer working purely in film. Occasionally I need to have transparencies scanned for publication and there is no other place that I would contemplate going than First Light Photographic. Dawn has that all-too-rare "eye" for what an image requires and unfailingly brings out the very best in my work. I have never seen such faithful reproduction. Seeing a photograph after Dawn's handling and subsequent publication in as close as it gets to seeing the slide projected!
Went to this shop yesterday looking to print some samples and get a price on different sizes for photos. When printing off the photos, she mentioned that they would be very dark, she was correct and once printed didn't look much like they did on my computer screen! Amazingly she offered to correct them for me and they now look great printed!Would recommend this place to anyone - I will definitely be returning, great quality photos on Archival paper too.
I had a bad experience with another photo shop in Daventry today .My photo was for a gift so of course I wanted it to be perfect.I was in a rush and needed to get this problem sorted out straight away.Dawn is a star. She sorted out the amendments I wanted doing to the photo ( The other shop didn't know how to do this!! ) The photo turned out brilliantly. I would highly recommend this amazing local business. I went in with a very poor quality photo of my late parents on their wedding day. This was the only photo I had and Dawn (the very dedicated owner) completely transformed it for me. If you have any treasured photos I would recommend you to use their services.
