I do like it here I have some good memories here as I have been coming here for years since I was a kid, it's a relaxing place, has pay and display parking, probably take you an hour to walk around the park.
5 minutes outside of Daventry, easy to get to, 2 to park all day and there are a few walks around the park and the reservoir. I went in December so didn't see the best of the park I'm sure during spring and summer it looks a lot better with leaves on the trees. The palms are very muddy at the moment so make sure to wear walking boots or wellingtons.
Play area is fairly good, the walk round is nice although some areas along the pathway could do with raising up as they get very very boggy and having to walk around the edge in the bushes can be a big struggle. Also the little shop is a bit expensive for the items they have. *edited after another visit on 4/10/18* little shop is way too expensive 1.35 for a can of pop!!!!????? Take your own beverages and a picnic/snack lunch. They need to reduce their prices and maybe more people would use it...........
Good park to take the kids to play for the day. There was a running event on when I went there. Plenty of space for them to compete and it gave me inspiration to run the park myself which I did the following morning.
Great place for a quick stroll around a small lake that has a couple of openings down to the water, however due to the time of year it had blue green algae so we were glad access to the water was limited therefore it felt more like a woodland walk. Lots of nature to see, caterpillars, birds, dragonfly's, rats, butterfly's etc. Lovely little cafe with friendly staff is situated a short walk from the car park (with toilets) & only 2 to park all day in the car park which had a good size kids playground right beside it so the tired kids just fell into the car.Would I go again? Probably not as we live an hours drive away & there is not much to see during the walk but we enjoyed our circuit walk.
