MY HUSBAND AND I CALLED INTO LEISURE LAKES DAVENTRY RECENTLY AS I WOULD LIKE A NEW BIKE , WE WAS SHOWN ALL THE BIKES TO SUIT MYSELF AND HAD THINGS EXPLAINED TO US IN DETAIL , IT WAS GREAT TO SEE A COMPANY INVEST IN YOUNG PEOPLE AND GIVE THEM THE TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE THEY NEED , WE WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE YOUNG MAN THAT HELPED US , POLITE ,HELPFUL AND WAS CUSTOMER FOCUSED , DIDNT BUY THERE AND THEN BUT WILL BE BACK , THANKYOU
Potential to be a great shop, but let down by the fact the staff are mostly shy embarrassed children who mumble and cringe their way through any conversation. Also the prices are ridiculous. Best used to try stuff out for size, then buy it online from someone else.
I visited Leisure Lakes Bikes in Daventry with a friend who was trying - and then buying - a new Specialized 2019 Stumpjumper Evo. It was a long trek there for us, but clearly my friend saw it as a worthwhile trip... and I can agree.All the staff were really helpful, and we had a longer chat with someone who had been there for about 8 years, I think. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided superb advice on the Stumpjumper, plus great advice for me and my older (2012) Stumpjumper.The store was well stocked, and the prices appeared to be competitive with other stores, both online and 'high street' stores.There's a coffee shop inside, which seemed to be popular with cyclists just calling in for a quick coffee while out on a ride (and seeing if they could be tempted by anything in the store).A recommended bike shop.
I ordered a bike for my partner a month ago, and had to wait due to the bike company not having any in stock. Not leisure lakes fault. They said they will get in touch with me when they have it in. I collected it today, after receiving a text telling me its in. Perfect service whilst picking the bike and collecting it. My partner and I then went on to look for some glasses, again great service and to top it off, they did a price match and beat the prices on two Oakley glasses. We saved I think just under 100 pound on that alone. Would I recommend Leisure lakes, yes. Would I shop at Leisure lakes again, yes. I didnt give 5 stars for the simple fact. The young worker seemed shy when talking to me whilst dealing with the bike. he knew his stuff but just needs to come across more confident. Thank you Leisure Lakes, I shall see you in the future.
