Great atmosphere for a cosy dinner.Food was really nice.For a real ale pub, only a few beers on selection, but was adequate.
Amazing service and gorgeous food. It's not often I eat a 3 course meal but I couldn't help myself here. We will definitely be going back.
Arranged two walks (morning and afternoon) based on this pub. Had 11 of us for lunch. Meals were very good quality efficiently served. The beer was also well kept! Well worth a visit.
The food at The Countryman is wonderful. A lovely roast beef dinner today. The staff are lovely and the Landlord is always friendly. Excellent, worth the drive.
Whats happened here?Run so nicely and consistently by that ex airline steward for many years. Popped in. Changed hands. Okay not a problem I thought. But it was. Almost inedible steak. Didnt have a chance to say so as staff just appeared utterly disinterested. Just seemed to want us out of the doorOh well. One of those really. I look forward to a return visit. Next time it changes hands...
